O’Level Result on JAMB Portal – How to upload O’level results on JAMB portal or profile for Direct Entry and UTME admissions.
We have been receiving series of questions for UTME and Direct Entry candidates that used awaiting results during registration on how they can upload their O’level results after they have gotten the results.
As a matter of fact, your admission may be affected if you didn’t upload your O’level results on JAMB portal. Follow the procedure below to update your JAMB profile now.
How to Upload O’Level Result on JAMB
- Log-in to your JAMB profile (https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility_/)
- Click on ‘Check Admission Status,
- Click on ‘Access my CAPS’
- Click on ‘My O’level result to confirm if your O’level is uploaded. If not visit any nearby accredited JAMB CBT centre or JAMB office to upload your O’level result. Admission cannot be processed for candidates whose O’level status in CAPS indicates ‘Awaiting Result’.
Here is a Quick Notice
In order to log in to your profile, a CBT centre will ask for your Profile code. This was the code you received through SMS while creating your profile earlier.
If you had lost this code, send RESEND to 55019 on the phone you used earlier to get the code.
There are two other ways to get your profile code. Check this post for that.
Can you Replace the O’level you used earlier with a new one?
Yes, you can.
If you have used a result earlier but you just check another result and this is far better than the first one, you may be able to replace it on the JAMB portal. A few students had visited CBT centres that helped them to replace the earlier results.
This may be important if you’ve registered or want to register for Post UTME with another result different from the one earlier uploaded at CBT centre though. Yet, information available proved otherwise.
Changing or Using the Same CBT Centre
Kindly be informed that it’s not compulsory to go back to the CBT centre where you registered your UTME for the uploading.
You can just take it to any of the nearest centres. Just avoid doing this at public internet cafes. Only CBT centres are authorized.
Related to this is, you can’t upload your O’level results at a cafe. Only CBT centres are accredited for this. You can’t as well do this yourself. A few students had called me that they were trying to upload results on their phones. This won’t work because it’s not opened to all but only accredited CBT centre.
Is it Compulsory to Upload Again?
Yes, for those who used awaiting but not for those who had already uploaded one.
Most schools are even warning all their applicants to make sure they upload the same results on the JAMB portal like the one uploaded for the post UTME registration e.g Federal Polytechnic Ede, Bayero University Kano, etc.
Even if your own school is silent about this, you should still do the right thing. Don’t forget that it’s JAMB that gives you admission eventually.
In fact, who knows if the CBT centre you used didn’t upload for you in the first place?
Direct Entry (DE) Applicants Uploading of Awaiting Results
It’s not unusual for JAMB DE candidates to use AR during registration too. In most cases, they await their A’level results such as ND, NCE, IJMB, JUPEB, NABTEB Advanced or Cambridge A’level.
If you fall to this category and your school or exam body has finally released your result, kindly proceed to CBT centre and follow the same procedures detailed above to upload your result.
What is the Deadline for SSCE Results Uploading to the JAMB portal?
As a matter of fact, JAMB has not announced any official closing date/deadline for uploading of results.
However, the purpose of this upload is to meet up with the year admission exercise of various schools. Therefore, you’re advised to quickly go to CBT centre for this in order for JAMB and your school to process your admission.
In other words, you must do the upload before the admission year ends or as soon as possible.
